Deborah Drever apologizes for controversial album cover

New MLA in Facebook controversy apologizes for ‘offensive’ album cover.

Deborah Drever told the Calgary Herald that “The photo I appeared in was in poor taste, and I apologize for its offensive content.”

The 26 year old has already been taking criticism after photos were posted on social media of a hand flipping off the Canadian flag, among others.

However, Mount Royal University Political Science professor Duane Bratt tells Global News “This should not force an MLA to quit or be disqualified, this is a young adult doing a stupid thing.”

Bratt did note though, that it may be a different conversation if it was the male holding the bottle that was the MLA instead of the female on the ground.
