Police are investigating after human remains were found in a field east of Balzac.
A work crew came across the remains and reported the discovery to RCMP around 4 p.m.
Police secured the area and planned to move the body to the office of the medical examiner in Calgary to perform an autopsy.
No information on the identity, gender, age, or cause of death of the deceased was immediately available. Police weren’t sure how long the remains had been in that location.
RCMP planned to release more information on Tuesday.
