Disgraced CBC radio star Jian Ghomeshi appeared unfazed in a Toronto courtroom as he was slapped with three new sexual assault allegations against him by a trio of accusers.
Jian Ghomeshi had been facing four charges of sexual assault and one charge of overcoming resistance by choking, in relation to allegations from three complainants.
When crown attorney Michael Callaghan stood up in court, he read out the names of three new complainants who have come forward and three new charges of sexual assault. The names of the complainants are under a publication ban.
Before the judge entered the courtroom, Ghomeshi sat fidgeting in his seat next to his legal team, brushing his hand through his hair or resting his chin in his hand. His mom, meanwhile, sat absolutely still in the front row.
New bail terms were set, ordering him to not contact the new complainants.
As Ghomeshi and Henein left the courthouse, the lawyer told reporters that he will plead not guilty to the new charges as well as the original ones.
The next court date is set for February 4th.
