RCMP have confirmed a man in his 50’s is dead after being hit by a tractor trailer near the Calaway Park turnoff, just west of Calgary. German skier dies in avalanche near Revelstoke

Caught in an avalanche north of Revelstoke, a German heli-skier has been killed. RCMP Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky says the morning slide occurred in the backcountry and buried the heli-skier in as much as three metres of snow. Bystanders dug out the man who received medical treatment at the scene, but Grabinsky says he died from his injuries. Read More »
