RCMP have confirmed a man in his 50’s is dead after being hit by a tractor trailer near the Calaway Park turnoff, just west of Calgary. German skier dies in avalanche near Revelstoke

Caught in an avalanche north of Revelstoke, a German heli-skier has been killed. RCMP Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky says the morning slide occurred in the backcountry and buried the heli-skier in as much as three metres of snow.
