Burt Reynolds : Actor Cuts A Frail Figure At Fan Event

A frail Burt Reynolds stunned fans Saturday during a rare public appearance at the Wizard World Comic Con in Philadelphia.

Walking with the aid of a cane, Burt wore a black suit, rose-tinted glasses and sported his signature mustache. Though he was in good spirits, fans couldn’t help but notice how gaunt he looked as he ambled along with the help of a cane.

The veteran actor was asked about his long and illustrious movie career as well as revealing some details about what is in his much-anticipated second memoir.

The ‘Boogie Nights’ star spoke with Philly.com prior to his appearance about the event and said, “I always enjoy talking to fans and I’m usually very pleased with their curiosity about my career, what I’m doing, what I’m not doing, and why I’m not doing more.

“When you write a book like this, you have to tell the whole thing, and there are days when everything isn’t wonderful and there were people who I thought were asses.

“I’m having a lot of fun, but it’s beginning to look a little bit like the dictionary. I started acting in a TV series in 1959 and I’ve been working ever since, so there’s an awful lot to reminisce about,” Burt told Philly.com.

In 2009, the actor entered rehab for addiction to painkillers and underwent a quintuple heart bypass a year later and was admitted into intensive care in 2013 with influenza.

‘But Enough About Me’ hits bookshelves in November.

    1. A lot of people love Burt Reynolds, and I am definitely a fan as well. I thought Deliverance was his most memorable film, and Smokey and the Bandit his most fun film. That’s what I think

    2. It’s not that he looks old. That doesn’t matter. But he looks sad, and that worries me.
