Frankie Muniz : Actor suffers second ‘mini-stroke’

For a second time in a year’s span, “Malcolm in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz has suffered a mini-stroke.

It is not normal for a 27 year old young man to have two strokes within a year of each other unless there is a major medical complication or other outside reasons.

Muniz, who turns 28 on Dec. 5, told Us Weekly: “Almost a year to the day, I experienced another mini stroke..”

A mini stroke, also known as a transient ischemic attack, occurs when blood stops flowing to a part of a person’s brain, usually for several hours. Muniz had suffered one on Nov. 30, 2012 and was hospitalized for it. He had also revealed news about it on Twitter and his fiancee had shared photos of him at a hospital. She has not commented about his latest health scare.

Cigarette smokers and people with a history of substance abuse have a larger chance of experiencing all types of strokes. Muniz had said following his first mini stroke that he had “never had a sip of alcohol” in his life, never did drugs and never smoked a cigarette.
