When the news broke Tuesday of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s separation after 10 years of marriage, the couple was in the Bahamas relaxing together with their kids Apple and Moses at a private home on Eleuthra Island, E! Online reports.
The couple announced their sudden break-up via Goop, Paltrow’s popular website and lifestyle publication.
“It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”
Paltrow, who was just voted People’s Most Beautiful Woman this year, has come under fire in recent years for promoting her seemingly self-entitled and slightly oblivious lifestyle in Goop and other outlets, where she advocates for a completely organic, vegan and expensive lifestyle, but does not seem to understand that most people do not have the money or the means to live such a life.
She and Martin have said that they will remain friends and parenting partners of their two children, Apple and Moses.
