Gwyneth Paltrow, Michael Kors Looking ‘Goop’ Together for Holiday Collection

The Michael Kors capsule collection for Goop hits the Web today and will include three exclusive-to-Gwyneth Paltrow pieces: a gray cashmere cape, a merino sweater, and a black wool peacoat (above). “We’ve got all these new fabrics, so today we can make a sweater that looks like it has some heft but, in fact, won’t leave you melting once you step into your office,” Kors told the New York Post.

“I thought it would be wonderful to reinvent some of my favorite vintage Michael Kors looks that I have kept for years, that I wear over and over,” says Paltrow, who has long counted Kors among her friends.

For the exclusive pieces, the pals selected lighter-weight materials for a gray cashmere cape ($2,595) and a merino peplum sweater in black or gray ($950), and jazzed up a black wool peacoat ($1,995) with gold buttons.

“We’ve got all these new fabrics, so today we can make a sweater that looks like it has some heft, but, in fact, won’t leave you melting once you step into your office,” explains Kors. “We’re also living in a time where the weather is wacky, so we need pieces that can better transition from one season to the next. As for the peacoat, we just thought it needed a little more glamour.”
