Just in time to celebrate Donald Trump’s victory in the New Hampshire primary Tuesday night, leftwing comedy website Funny or Die has released a star-studded fake Trump biopic based on his book The Art of the Deal with Johnny Depp starring as Trump.
The video sports the characteristic fuzziness of 1980s cable television and features the talents of Patton Oswalt, Andy Richter, Michaela Watkins, and Henry Winkler. It opens with narrator Ron Howard telling us that the film had been made in the ’80s, around the same time that Trump’s iconic book The Art Of The Deal was published, but had been lost to time for decades. Lucky for us, though, it exists, and you can watch all 50 glorious and confusing minutes of it below.
“It was a crazy, completely nuts idea that somehow we pulled off,” director and Funny Or Die co-founder Adam McKay told the Times in an interview. The Art of the Deal: The Movie was kept secret for months, and reportedly filmed during a four-day gap in Depp’s December schedule.
