Kelly Ripa Has Blue Hair Now: ‘My Sons Think I Look Like a Superhero’

Kelly Ripa shows off her brand new bright blue hair while filming Live! with Kelly & Michael on Thursday morning (July 9) in New York City.

When she dyed her hair pink she reportedly said on Live! With Kelly and Michael that she likes to go for different temporary colors from time to time, explaining, “I get very bored. I’ve had the same color for six months at least, and that’s a long time for me.” Well, she certainly didn’t wait another half a year to have some fun again—it’s been onlya month since she went cotton-candy on us.

Here’s what Trystad has to say about the transformation: “I like to call this a superhero blue because she said she feels empowered with such a bold color! The whole process took about two to three hours, really not too long, and it a mix of about five different blue hues—from teal to midnight.”

And as for Trystad’s Instagram-caption question as to the next stop on her hair color adventure tour? We call purple.
