Tom Cruise Leaving Scientology For Daughter Suri: ‘He’d Face Massive Consequences’ – Ex-Member

Tom Cruise is reportedly leaving the Church of Scientology. (Cue dramatic music).

The news comes via American magazine Star, who reveal that Tom’s nine-year-old daughter Suri is close to being labeled a ‘suppressive person’ by the Church, which would mean contact with her would become extremely limited.

The source told the Star: ‘Tom has been under tremendous pressure where Suri and Katie are concerned because the church doesn’t want him close to them.

‘They can’t stand that their own poster boy isn’t raising his child in the church. If they label Suri a suppressive person, as they’ve been known to do with dissenters, that would make it hard for Tom to have a relationship with her.’

‘Tom has missed birthdays, school events, all the special parts of childhood that happen so fast and are gone before you know it. Suri is not a baby anymore; she is fully aware that her father isn’t around much,’ added the insider.

‘When she speaks to him on the phone, it’s becoming more and more like she’s talking to a stranger.’

Tom Cruise has been one of the Church’s biggest supporters, with other celebrity members John Travolta, Juliette Lewis, and Elisabeth Moss. The loss of Tom would be BIG NEWS though, and the source adds: ‘He’s between a rock and a hard place, but he’s finally making a choice to put his daughter first.’
