Rob Ford’s Cancerous Tumor Reduced by Half, brother says

Former Toronto mayor Rob Ford’s tumour appears to be shrinking, his brother Doug Ford confirmed on Tuesday morning.

The update comes as Rob Ford, who was diagnosed with pleomorphic liposarcoma in September, prepares for a fifth round of chemotherapy at Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital.

In mid-September, Ford was diagnosed with malignant liposarcoma — a rare and aggressive form of abdominal cancer.

On Wednesday morning, Ford’s brother former city councillor Doug Ford and his mother Diane will present a $40,000 cheque to Humber River Hospital from the sale of bobbleheads.

In addition, the Ford family will also donate $50,000 of their own money to the hospital.

Rob Ford dropped his bid for mayoral re-election shortly after his diagnosis, opting instead to run for city council.

He was voted in as councillor for his old Ward 2 Etobicoke North on Oct. 27.
