A couple’s final goodbye has been captured on camera by their son, who photographed his parents holding hands as his father’s breathing tube was removed for the last time.
The moment was captured in a photo and posted on Reddit.
The post by user “Mininni” said that their father was admitted to an intensive care unit after being diagnosed with lung cancer three times and their mother suffered a massive heart attack the next day. The couple were the first ever to both be on life support at the same time in Kingston General Hospital in the Canadian province of Ontario the user added in their post.
Their father died May 4. Their mother was released and is back home, according to the post.
“My mom is home recovering now,” Mininni wrote. “Heartbroken but recovering.”
