Brampton Man who drove to car dealership with damaged vehicle charged with impaired driving

A Brampton driver was arrested for impaired driving after arriving at a car dealership in Vaughan in a damaged car he demanded be repaired.

York Regional Police were called to a dealership on Auto Park Circle, near Weston Road and Hwy. 7, at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after employees noticed a man pull into the parking lot with a flat tire, a damaged bumper and the airbags deployed.

Officers arrived and found a man inside the dealership demanding his car be repaired, according to police officials.

They spoke with the man and noticed he was showing signs of being impaired by alcohol, according to police officials.

The man was arrested and taken to #4 District headquarters in Vaughan for a breathalyzer test where he blew more than three times the legal limit, police said.

Officers are still investigating to determine the man’s whereabouts prior to his arrival at the dealership.

Quang Le, 31, of Brampton, has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 mg over the limit. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 13.

Police said the investigation into Le’s whereabouts before arriving at the car dealership is ongoing.
