Danny Heinrich Admits To Abducting And Killing Jacob Wetterling

Danny Heinrich confesses to Jacob Wetterling’s murder.

On Tuesday, Danny Heinrich pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography before telling the court in detail how he kidnapped and killed the 11-year-old boy.

In 1989, Wetterling was riding his bike with two other boys when a man in a mask approached them and kidnapped him. The case was cold until his body was found early this month.

Heinrich was first named as a person of interest in the case almost a year ago, but his current federal charges stem from an unrelated case.

HIs confession to Wetterling’s murder was part of a plea deal for that pornography case. His sentencing is set for November 21. He has not been charged with the boy’s death.
