NekNomination: Rebecca Dagley strips off in Asda for drinking craze (Video)

A British student has stripped down to her underwear and downed a can of beer in a busy supermarket as part of an online craze known as NekNomination.

Rebecca Dagley, 19, is filmed entering a supermarket in central England wearing a trench coat and high heels.

But when she reaches one aisle, filmed by her friends, she strips to reveal she is just wearing stockings, suspenders and purple lingerie and begins to drink a can of lager, reports The Mirror.

Rebecca, a club and administration worker, said: “I just found an aisle and tried to drink it [the lager] before security came over.

“Anyone who know’s me will say I’m either utterly boring or completely outrageous – it’s just me.”

NekNomination participants video themselves drinking a beverage of their choice before nominating three other people to do the same.

The video is then posted on Facebook.

“My friend nominated me but I took it upon myself to go to that extreme,” added Rebecca.

“People were just looking at me, like ‘what on earth are you doing?’

“I didn’t want to do it at first but then I thought, I should just have fun.”

The drinking craze – which also sees people choosing to take part in bizarre stunts, and stems from Australia – has been strongly criticised recently, with some people suggesting it has got out of hand.

It has even been blamed for the deaths of two Irish men, one who was found dead in a Dublin house after reportedly drinking spirits, and the other who was found floating in a river apparently after taking part in NekNomination.

However, Rebecca said: “Everyone will go as far as they want to go, nobody is forcing anyone to do anything – people don’t even have to drink alcohol if they don’t want to.

“It’s like anything in life, you have to be responsible and not stupid.

“It’s all harmless fun.

“Some of the older lot, who are past it, need to remember, they were young once.”
