The young woman accused of abducting a newborn from a Trois-Rivières hospital burst into tears in court Wednesday morning.
Valérie Poulin Collins appeared in court to hear the date of her bail hearing, which was set for July 7 and 8.
Valerie, 21, faces two counts of kidnapping after a woman dressed in scrubs tricked a couple into handing their child over at a hospital in May.
Her lawyer told court the proceedings have been difficult on his client.
Her mother and two sisters also broke down in court.
This week, the Trois-Rivieres hospital implemented a new electronic bracelet system in its maternity ward.
