Calgary : Amber alert cancelled after abducted baby found

The Amber Alert for an abducted nine-month-old boy has been cancelled.
Calgary police confirm Cruz Jovanovic was found safe and in good health in Riverbend at about 4:30am.

Duty Inspector Michael Watterston said throughout the night police were in contact with the father’s friend, “A friend had agreed to meet and speak with police and surprised us with having the child in hand.”

Watterston said the child was looked over by a medic and was determined to be in good condition, and is now being reunited with his mom.

Police located the dad in the area shortly after the child was found; he is now in custody and charges against him are pending.
