Jimmy Kimmel pondered what the Brits must feel about how every year for Thanksgiving Americans have a fancy feast to celebrate their escape from England. “England’s probably our closest ally,” he said, “and yet we have a big divorce party every November.”
So, he looked towards British actor Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Trilogy) to get an idea of how our allies across the pond feel about American Thanksgiving. Check out the video here below, which aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
In the two-minute clip, he says: “This year when you consume your Thanksgiving meal consider this; you’re hurting our feelings.
“Not only did you flee our homeland to avoid paying taxes you now pay so willingly, you rub our faces in it with a big fat food orgy.”
Speaking in an exaggerated posh English accent he goes on to tell Americans to “f*** off” and calls them “a bunch of honey poo poos”.
He then decimates a table of food laid out for a Thanksgiving feast in the skit for the Jimmy Kimmel show.
Oldman, 55, who started out on the London theatre scene, is best known in the USA for his portrayal of Commissioner James Gordon in Christopher Nolan’s Batman films.
