Candlelight vigils will be held tonight for a 45-year-old teacher from Burlington who’s sitting in an Indonesian jail.
Neil Bantleman was arrested in Jakarta more than two weeks ago during an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of three kindergarten students at the Jakarta International School.
Vigils for Bantleman will be held in Jakarta, his hometown of Burlington, Ontario, in Calgary where he used to teach, and in Okotoks, where he lived.
His brother Guy Bantleman says this weekend marks 20 days since his arrest and police are expected to review the detainment.
Tonight’s Calgary rally starts at 8:00 at Webber Academy.
