Parents who purchased the new You & Me Mommy Change My Diaper Doll from the Toys ‘R Us chain discovered that the toy came with an unexpected accessory: a penis.
Parents offended by the toy’s anatomy have turned to a post on Facebook to complain about the doll, but the post, which included a nude photo of the toy, has since been deleted.
Monica Beyer, a writer at Sheknows.com, argued earlier this week it shouldn’t be taboo to talk about genitals with children.
“It’s a penis, it’s a vulva – one on a baby is not going to kill you and it’s definitely not going to turn your child into a pervert,” Beyer wrote.
