A man has turned himself into RCMP, in connection to an investigation of a number of sexual assaults at an Alberta bible college.
RCMP Sergeant Josee Valiquette says RCMP had been on the hunt for a suspect after several women at the college reported being assaulted early the morning of Sunday, August 17th.
“There’s a dormitory at the Bible Study Institute where this person broke into,” she says “and he touched some individuals that were sleeping at the time.”
The suspect reportedly then fled on a bike before police could get there.
In hopes of drumming up tips in the case, RCMP looked at surveillance footage taken at the college, releasing an image to Alberta media outlets.
33-year-old Rennie Gall turned himself in to police Monday, August 18th without incident.
Valiquette runs down the charges against him:
“One count of Break and enter, six counts of Sexual Assault,” she says, “as well as one count of Theft under $5000.”
Gall is slated to appear in Drumheller Provincial Court the morning of Friday, August 22nd.
