Roberts was admitted to hospital with double pneumonia after he passed out on a plane to Las Vegas last month (August 27).
The wrestler made his first public appearance since he was hospitalised yesterday (September 6), but also announced he is fighting cancer once again.
Weak-voiced and with a drawn face, he jogged around the ring before earnestly telling a supportive crowd about the return of the illness.
He paid tribute to the WWE for its support and seemed reflective as he said: “I’m not crying. I’m 59 years old and I kicked some serious ass for a long, long time.”
Revealing the cancer’s return, he explained: “I was asleep for three days – and then I found out that I’ve got to have some more stuff taken out of my chest.
“It’s cancer and they gotta do what they gotta do. But I’m not afraid because I’m comfortable in my faith.
“Faith not only in God above but faith in the people around me.”
