The spirit of Terry Fox’s legacy will shine brightly this Sunday, Sept. 14 in Kemptville for the community’s annual Terry Fox Run.
“Come out for a fun time,” says Bryan Kelly, a member of the Tsawwassen Rotary Club, which organizes the yearly event.
Inspired by Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope more than three decades ago, the Terry Fox Run takes place in communities across the country and around the world, raising millions for cancer research.
Rotary Square at Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall will once again serve as race headquarters, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the run starting at 10 a.m. There is no entry fee or minimum donation.
The event includes both five-kilometre and 10-kilometre routes. Both courses are suitable for bikes, wheelchairs/strollers and rollerblades. Dogs are welcome on leash.
