There’s a greater chance than usual of seeing the northern lights tonight – the Aurora Borealis. This is due to two large explosions on the Sun (solar flares) earlier in the week.

Earlier this week, a solar flare erupted on the surface of the sun and that debris is moving closer to Earth. That debris interacts with the molecules in our outer atmosphere and creates beautiful curtains of color.
Areas in Canada have a much better chance of seeing the northern lights, however it is possible we may be able to get a glimpse too.
It is very difficult to predict when the northern lights are visible, especially this far south.
The best bet is to go somewhere quite dark, away from city light and look north. Good luck!
