PRINCE Harry tried his hand at “murderball” last night as he battled it out with Royal cousin Zara Phillips.
The pair beat opposing team Endeavour, which included Zara’s husband, Mike Tindall and Olympians Dame Kelly Holmes and Denise Lewis.
A sell-out crowd watched Harry’s team win by eight points to six in the fast-paced clash.
Speaking afterwards, Denise Lewis joked Harry had ended up in the “sin bin” after fouling her during the game.
She said: “He just rammed me, he just tried to take me out. I don’t know the rules, but I know it was a foul.”
Dame Kelly joked about the practice session they had before the match saying: “During practice Prince Harry kept barging into me and blocking me so I was determined to get him but I didn’t get the chance.”
But despite playing with royalty, she said everyone was equal on the pitch.
The Invictus Games, the first to be held in the UK for wounded servicemen and women, are proving so successful Prime Minister David Cameron has said they could become a permanent fixture.
