A man was found shot to death near a Central Huron conservation area, prompting a large-scale police presence along rural roads in the area.
Police say they responded to a call in the area near the Hullett Wildlife Conservation Area north of Clinton at around 5 PM on Saturday, and found the body of a man.
So far, that’s the only information OPP are releasing as the investigation continues.
Clinton resident Doug Farquhar says an OPP officer who visited his home near the scene told him two people had been shot, adding that there was a heavy police presence in the area.
There are reports from citizens that a manhunt is underway and cruisers are blocking off a number of roads in the area.
Area resident Diane Proper says she heard an alarm go off on Saturday night advising residents to lock their doors.
A number of roads, including Highway 4, between Clinton and Londesboro have been closed as police search for a suspect.
Residents have been told to stay inside and keep their doors and windows secured.
