A teenage girl was left disfigured after two older girls decided to slash her with knives because she was too attractive and got all the attention in their Argentinian hometown.
Julia Alvarez, 15, had been to visit friends and was walking home when she was approached by the two sisters who started hitting her and kicked and punched her to the ground.
She traumatised teen told police the sisters, aged 16 and 18, had said: “Everyone says you are pretty. You won’t look pretty when we have finished with you. People will call you Chucky.”
She was left covered in blood on the ground where she was found by passers-by who called an ambulance.
Incredibly police in Juan Domingo Peron, in the northern Argentinian province of Formosa, refused to get involved.
Only when images of her dreadful injuries went viral and caused mass protest did they act, arresting the older sister but releasing the 16-year-old.
The older sister admitted it was a revenge attack and claimed they had been insulted by the pretty 15-year-old.
Locals have threatened vigilante justice against the two attackers, accusing them of drug taking and terrorising the region.
Julia’s sister Yeni said: “They were jealous of my sister for a long time and always abusing her and insulting her, but we never expected them to go this far.
“I can only assume they were drinking or taking drugs as usual.
“I have tried to stay strong for my beautiful sister but every time I see her I want to burst into tears.
“They have ruined her life. She says she wants to kill herself because when she looks in the mirror she so ugly now. It has ruined our family.”
