Jodie Foster has sold her Hollywood Hills home for $5 million – 16 months after she initially listed the abode.
The Spanish-style house, built in 1935, is in the Bird Streets area, long popular with celebrities. A courtyard leads to a skylighted entry. The step-down living room has a cathedral ceiling, a stone fireplace and views of Century City.
The 6,060 square feet of living space includes a formal dining room, an office, a screening room, five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The master suite features a sitting area and a sauna.
French doors open to an outdoor seating area, a swimming pool and gardens on the third-acre property.
Foster, 51, gained recognition for “Taxi Driver” (1978) at age 13. She has won Oscars for “The Accused” (1989) and “The Silence of the Lambs” (1991). More recently, she starred in the films “Carnage” (2011), “The Beaver” (2011) and “Elysium” (2013).
