A passenger aboard a plane flying from Dallas to Midland was taken to the hospital to be checked out after crews thought she was experiencing symptoms resembling Ebola.
Officials on scene reported paramedics discussed Ebola-like symptoms and a hazmat crew awaited flight 2791’s arrival.
That flight landed just after 11 pm, but a city spokesman now says the patient did not have fever, which means Ebola is unlikely.
The female patient was traveling from Istanbul, Turkey through London, then Dallas and ultimately to Midland.
Passengers were given masks as hazmat crews boarded the plane to remove the sick passenger. At this point, officials say its highly unlikely the cause of the passengers sickness to be the Ebola virus, but they are not ruling it out completely.
