When LeAnn Rimes Cibrian first showed up on the country music scene at the young age of 13, her stellar voice was commonly compared to that of the late Patsy Cline. Now at age 31, Rimes got to pay tribute to Cline, who died at age 30 in 1963, at the 2013 American Country Awards. However, it turned out to be more than she could handle emotionally.
She sang “If You Got Leaving on Your Mind,” “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “Crazy” and “Sweet Dreams of You” as part of the medley, being over come by emotion by the end and crying while thanking the audience for the standing ovation and saying, “I love you, Patsy.”
Not only did Rimes turn in a beautiful tribute, but she also looked smashing on the red carpet. Pictures above of her alone and with her husband, Eddie Cibrian.
