Two young adults are dead after a collision that has closed the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.
Four cars were involved in the collision just after 2 pm in the west-bound lanes of the Linc at Garth Street.
Firefighters had to extricate at least two people trapped in their vehicles.
A man and a woman in their 20′s were pronounced dead at the scene.
Another woman in her 20s was taken to hospital, while a fourth man in his 30s was treated for minor injuries.
The Linc is currently closed in both directions.
Media relations officer Debbie McGreal-Dinning is asking the public to avoid using the Linc altogether.
She refused to provide further information regarding the accident.
