A male former York University student is the latest person to come forward with allegations involving Jian Ghomeshi, just hours after the CBC announced the name of the person who would lead the network’s independent investigation into the behaviour of the former ‘Q’ host.
Jim Hounslow claims Ghomeshi grabbed his genitals and fondled them during their 1990-91 school year.
Hounslow told The Star that he grabbed Ghomeshi’s arm and pushed him against the elevator doors and told him “You are never to do that again.”
He claims Ghomeshi told him the next day, that he was just “playing around”.
Hounslow says he did not file a complaint, even though he and others on campus viewed Ghomeshi as a “sexual predator”
Both men were in their early 20’s at the time.
The Toronto Star did try to reach Ghomeshi and his lawyers, but they didn’t receive a reply.
None of these allegations, or the previous allegations made against him, have been proven in court.
