Eric Frein court date postponed until next month, Report

Eric Frein, the subject of the 48 day manhunt in the Poconos, is not scheduled to be back in court until next month.

Suspect will have his preliminary hearing in Pike County on Dec. 9.

The hearing was originally set for Nov. 12. A judge on Thursday postponed it at the request of defense lawyers.

Frein faces charges of murder and attempted murder for opening fire on the state police barracks at Blooming Grove in September.

Authorities say the 31-year-old marksman killed Cpl. Bryon Dickson and seriously wounded Trooper Alex Douglass. Frein then became a fugitive, but was captured by U.S. marshals last week.

Officials describe Frein as a self-taught survivalist with a vendetta against law enforcement.
