Linda Hardan, a 21-year-old female substitute teacher in a northern New Jersey school district has been accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student, according law enforcement officials.
Linda Hardan now faces an additional charge of third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor after Passaic County Prosecutors said they developed evidence that Harden sent explicit photos to a separate 16-year-old Manchester Regional student.
Prosecutors did not say who was in the photos or what was depicted.
Linda Hardan, of Prospect Park, was charged late last week after allegedly sexually assaulting a male student in Wayne on Thursday.
A graduate of Manchester Regional, Linda Hardan was an employee of the Passaic County Education Services Commission. She worked at MRHS a handful of times and substituted for a science teacher last week, Manchester Regional Superintendent Richard Ney said last week.
“We are disappointed to learn that someone who occasionally worked as a substitute at the school engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a student,” he told NJ Advance Media.
Linda Hardan remains lodged in Passaic County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail with no 10-percent option.
If convicted on all charges, Linda Hardan could face more than two decades in prison.
