Four men wearing bandanas and wielding guns stormed a Cole Harbour home and opened fire Sunday night, shooting three people and sparking a manhunt.
The three victims, two men and a woman, were transported to hospital, police said. Two of them are in serious condition.
Const. Sandra McNaughton of the RCMP said Sunday night they were still trying to determine a motive for the shootings, which resulted in a heavy police presence in the Cole Harbour neighbourhood.
“Everything is still coming in and being investigated as we speak,” she said.
“They fired shots when they got inside,” McNaughton added of how the shooting went down.
The RCMP closed down several streets to traffic and were asking people to stay away from the area as they investigated.
Around 9 p.m., McNaughton said a man and a male youth were taken into custody after police surrounded a home on nearby Caldwell Road. No other details were provided.
