Jennifer Nettles, Idina Menzel perform duet of ‘Let It Go’, The fifth annual holiday special was filmed Nov. 7 in Nashville, and aired Monday on ABC. Nettles returned to host the program, and was joined onstage by Menzel, who voiced Queen Elsa and sang “Let It Go” in Disney film Frozen.

Menzel herself performed twice during the program, first coming out to sing the Bing Crosby classic “White Christmas.” She returned later for a duet of the “Frozen” hit with Nettles — who is a self-professed “Frozen” fanatic.
Nettles starts the duet out with another “Frozen” favorite though, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” As any Disney fan knows, that song actually belongs to Kristen Bell’s Anna in the film. Menzel grins and requests that the two team up for the other “Frozen” song, the one she knows.
The two then break into “Let It Go” and it is a breathtaking performance. Idina is a celebrated Broadway star, most famous for her portrayals in “Rent” and “Wicked.” However, Nettles is more than able to hold her own next to the musical star. Could Broadway be a new venture for Nettles? If this was any indication, the Great White Way would be lucky to have her.
