Canada outlets mall shooting hurts 1, the victim has reportedly received minor injuries and is in stable condition.
In a release early Saturday morning, the Guns and Gangs Unit said they have two outstanding persons of interest in the case.
Around 3:40 p.m. Friday, a man was shot once in the foot, outside one of the stores at the mall, and was taken to hospital. Police say he is not cooperating with investigators.
Witnesses recall panic as a shot erupted at the busy outlet mall, many taking cover, others were locked down inside the stores.
Greg Richardson was shopping at Polo Ralph Lauren when the gun went off.
“The management and staff at the store were encouraging everyone to get into the fitting rooms or the back of the store just to stay away from the front,” he said.
Two people were taken into custody for questioning Friday afternoon, and released without charges.
Police are searching for a car that may be related to the crime.
Duty Inspector Mark Patterson told CFRA that the shooting was a targeted attack.
“This is an isolated incident, we believe that it wasn’t random,” he explained.
