Ariana Grande revealed that she actually isn’t a fan of Santa Claus because of all the heartbreak that comes with the holidays.
“I’m repulsed by Santa,” she admits. “My song may sound cheerful but its really quite sardonic and depressing. I’m like saying, ‘Santa what is your deal bro?'”
She continued, “I’ve had my heart broken multiple times around this time of year. I feel although it’s one of the most cheerful times of the year, I see tons of heartbreak and they make movies about it. It’s like a (Wham!) Last Christmas vibe.”
Although Grande may be bitter towards Santa, perhaps having a little more love rather than heartbreak in her life this year softened up the former Nickelodeon star.
Following her performance of her new single on Thursday during Disney’s Christmas Day Parade, Grande shared an adorable photo of her Christmas tree, wishing fans a happy holiday with “love to you & your family.”
