Jodie Emery will not be a Liberal candidate in the next federal election.
The wife of controversial pot activist Marc Emery tweeted that she was officially “not recommended” to be a nomination contestant for the Vancouver-East riding.
She added that she’s sorry she won’t have the chance to prove herself at the nomination meeting vote, but mentioned she still plans to vote and campaign for the Liberal Party.
Emery was seeking the nomination in a riding which had previously been held by NDP MP Libby Davies, who announced earlier she would not seek re-election.
