Courtney Love has admitted that she took heroin while she was pregnant with daughter Frances Bean Cobain.
Speaking on a new HBO documentary film about her late husband’s life, she said: “I used it once then stopped. I knew she would be fine.”
Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck focuses on the Nirvana frontman’s early years up to his suicide in 1994. It also covers the struggles he had becoming a parent.
Last month, it was confirmed that Love would not serve as a producer on the documentary, despite helping launch the project in 2007.
Director Brett Morgen said it was decided that Love shouldn’t have editorial control as she is a subject in the film.
