Lt. Michael Combs says the marijuana was hidden in the covered back of the truck inside duffel bags and cardboard boxes, including one wrapped in Santa-printed holiday paper.
A drug-sniffing dog was brought in and triggered the search that uncovered the drugs.
The patrol says the 42-year-old driver and the 62-year-old man riding with her have been charged with felony drug possession and marijuana trafficking. Both are from Reno, Nevada.
