A kindergarten teacher at a suburban Des Moines elementary school has been accused of drinking beer in her classroom.
According to the Des Moines Register, Jennifer L. Rich was clinked by police on Friday after being administered a breathalyzer test.
Her eyes were bloodshot, and, after it was confirmed that her breath stanked of suds, Rich was charged with public intoxication and child endangerment.
Cops responded to a call after parents claimed they saw the teacher drinking a beer. When her classroom was searched, a six-pack was found — four full, two empty. She barely got started.
By Monday, Rich had been released by police and had resigned from her school position.
