Woman’s body recovered near Tillsonburg school : Police

Oxford County OPP is investigating after the body of an elderly woman was found early Friday morning near an elementary school.

A Maple Lane Public School employee discovered the body around 6:45 a.m. ET, police said.

The death didn’t appear to be suspicious, said OPP Const. Stacey Culbert, adding that the bone-chilling weather gripping the region could be a factor.

Investigators were canvassing the neighbourhood Friday morning.

Classes are still in session at the school, said a Thames Valley District school board spokesperson.
