Actor Nick Nolte Joins Fox’s Broadchurch Adaptation

According to Entertainment Weekly, Nolte will play Jack Reinhold, a stubborn single man living in Gracepoint for the last two decades. Nolte’s character “runs the kayak rental on the beach as well as the local wildlife observation program, where the murdered boy was one of his volunteers.”

Actor David Tennant (‘Doctor Who’), who appeared in the lead role of DI Alec Hardy in the UK version will play the lead role in ‘Gracepoint’ with legendary actor and three-time Oscar nominee Nick Nolte (‘Luck’ and ‘Warrior’) joining the cast. Nolte will play “Jack Reinhold, a stubborn, unmarried, willful man who has lived in Gracepoint for 20 years. He runs the kayak rental on the beach as well as the local wildlife observation program, where the murdered boy was one of his volunteers”.

The cast also boasts the likes of actresses Anna Gunn (‘Breaking Bad’) and Jacki Weaver (‘Silver Linings Playbook’) and actor Michael Pena (‘End of Watch’ and ‘Gangster Squad’).

Filming will begin next month with a plan for FOX to broadcast the ten-part drama during the 2014-2015 TV season.
