A Stony Plain, Alta. pilot who crashed his small plane in Spokane, Washington on Sunday afternoon has died.
Michael Clements passed away two days after the crash.
The 61-year-old Stony Plain man had remained in a critical condition at the Sacred Heart Hospital since the single engine Piper crashed in East Spokane.
According to video and accounts from the scene of the crash, police officers and emergency workers had to carefully remove the unconscious Clements from the twisted wreck of the upside-down aircraft, by severing his seat belt and removing him through a side door.
