An explosion in northwest Regina sent three to hospital with serious injuries Tuesday night.
Fire marshal Randy Ryba says all three were inside the home when the blast occurred, blowing out the west wall and littering the yard with glass and wood.
Firefighters got the call about an explosion around 7 p.m. and stayed on scene throughout the evening to deal with the smoke and putting out the hot spots inside.
Officials said it was too early to tell what caused the explosion but SaskEnergy was beginning an investigation and checking the natural gas lines in the area as a precaution.
Neighbour Tammy Castle said she heard “a big boom” and saw a lot of smoke and a large fire.
Nancy Hopkins said she also heard the bang, saying it shook her front door.
