Loblaws recalls PC Blue Menu bran flakes, Report

A possible plastic contamination has led Lowlaw Companies Limited locations across the country to voluntarily recall PC Blue Menu brand Bran Flakes cereal from market shelves.

Health Canada said the recall affects boxes labeled with the UPC code 0 60383 74782 4 and best before dates Aug. 26, 2015 through to Jan. 7, 2016.

Anyone who purchased the product included in the recall can return the box for a refund with or without a reciept.

Loblaw is has also issued a recall for its Everyday Essentials space heater with a fan over a potential fire hazard.

The company said the products were sold in a number of stores, including Fortinos, No Frills, and Real Canadian Superstores from Jan. 1, 2011 until Feb. 24, 2015.

According to Health Canada, there have been two complaints of the heaters smoldering.

This product can also be returned for a full refund.
