Two Halifax police “seal whispers” helped shoo a baby seal back into the harbour after it took “a leisurely stroll down the middle of Lower Water Street” early Thursday morning, according to a release.
“Concerned for its safety, the officers used some gentle persuasion and reassurance, wrapped the whiskered sushi lover in a blanket, and carefully assisted it back to its harbour home,” a police release states.
Grateful for the help by the kind officers, the release states that the seal … wait for it again … gave its seal of approval before swimming away.
